This Spring the water went so far over the road we were trapped for days. Flooding is a possiblity yearly. But seems to be on a cycle every 10 years for major flooding that causes road washout and high water coverage over the road.

The last time this happen was the Spring 1998 just a few weeks after the Ice Storm of 98. During the last flood we were trapped for 5 days, this time it was 4 days.

This time we were lucking the fridge and pantry were stocked!!! LOL. Last time we were not so lucky and there was some grumbling when we ran out of milk :)

Where's the road!!

Maybe investing in a boat would be a good idea? Hum.

Mother Nature is wild!

When this receeded the road had to be rebuilt, not as bad as 98 though.

Don't you want to live here now...lol.

The water is low here and you can see some of the islands popping up that are all under water on the Spring.

There plenty of water at other times of the year, look at thia rapid!

The Rock Faces

Thousands of years of water running over the rocks creates very interesting textures.

The rocks pile like this from the current naturally. Neat!

When the water receeds we get to see some of the riverbed.

Fall Color Along The Rouge River

The colors are just amazing here in the fall!!!

The water level goes from low to high depending on the rainfall.

Even when they fall off the trees along the riverside they are beautiful!

Just a peek from the roadside through the trees to see the river.

You can not compare Rouge River Valley, Quebec in the Fall is something everyone should enjoy!
